Open: by appointment only
Alojz Kaučič renovated the cellar of count Oto Herberstein Ptujski in Juršinski vrh and his initials are still to this day engraved in the stones and bricks. The householder has a well-kept vaulted wine cellar with a special microclimate. The vintage wine is produced from grapes growing on a beautiful viticultural position with plenty of sunshine. The wine is nurtured in wooden barrels and bottled in Ptuj's first private filling factory.
The most favourable wines are Renski Riesling and Yellow Muscat, followed by the late Traminer vintage, Sauvignon, Zeleni Silvanec and Juršinčan. Why not try Kaučič's wine on guided wine tastings and along with the wine try cheese and bread or home-cured slices of cold meats.
