The Centre for free time activities, or in short the CID, is a public institution. It assumes the role of a youth centre, and its target groups are primary school children, pupils and students. On behalf of the Town Municipality of Ptuj, the Centre carries out, on its own or in cooperation with other interested parties, free time activities for children and young people, and develops various spheres of youth work.
The CID develops the following spheres of work:
- creative use of free time
- information and counselling
- youth mobility
- informal education
- voluntary work
The Youth informative-counselling centre gives advice on:
- where and how to participate as a volunteer in a camp in Slovenia or abroad
- various possibilities of how to spend free time: workshops, lectures, cinema, theatre, lectures on travel experiences, sports, exhibitions, concerts
- discount cards for accommodation in youth hostels world-wide
- free site on the Centre¸'s server for youth organisations, associations, music and artistic groups.
